IN REVIEW: Hourglass Immaculate Foundation for Oily Skin

I have been searching high and low for a foundation that gives full coverage without the hassle of shine--and lo and behold I happened across this gem! I have never been able to find a natural looking foundation that also is oily/acne prone skin friendly. Say hello to Hourglass Immaculate Foundation!

Can we say perfection in a bottle?! I was BEYOND impressed when the Beauty Specialist at Sephora placed this foundation on my skin (Liz in the Augusta, GA Mall). I'm usually hesitant in purchasing a foundation for fear of not finding a compatible shade, but the Sephora Pantone Color IQ machine in store gave me my perfect shade and a slew of products that catered to my skin tone!
Before

In these two pictures, I am fresh faced: washed, toned and moisturized paired with a light sunblock.

I make a point to show my cheeks as they are a problem area due to previous acne scarring and the like.

After

The coverage is INSANE. I was prepared to use a concealer to cover up my skin discolorations, but later found I had no need for it! I have used many  full coverage foundations that were super heavy and greasy--I assumed this was the cost to pay for great coverage. But the Hourglass Immaculate Foundation has proved itself as a literally weightless full coverage spectacle! It's like finding a freaking unicorn in the purple rain forest!

In this picture, I made a minuscule cat eye, filled in my brows with a bit of brow powder, and dusted some blush on the apples of my cheeks. The canvas, being the foundation, helped take this simple makeup look to the next level.

Application: Two full pumps onto the back of my hand more than covers my face and neck. Using a foundation brush (stippling brush), dab and cover small sections at a time. It's important that you apply quickly because this is a Liquid to Powder formula. (That's what creates the matte and velvet look when finished applying!) The packaging clearly states: "Sponge application not recommended. I believe this may be due to the lightning fast absorption level of this product--an Oily girls dream!

Cost: $55.00 USD, Sephora.com
Overall: The premium ingredients packed into this supreme product provides a no-fuss, full-coverage and matte finish to anyone who has been struggling with oily/acne prone skin.  (Hello? Me!) Also, for my fellow adult acne sufferers: The Kalonite Clay absorbs 75% of its weight in sebum without absorbing water. Let's just say: I'm in love! I'll leave the product/packaging information on the bottom of this post. I hope you dolls enjoy!
"The miracle foundation for Oily Skin: This breakthrough foundation absorbs oil, camouflages imperfections, and ensures a long-lasting flawless finish-without the need for touch-ups. The oil-free, water-resistant formula transforms from liquid to powder and dries down instantly to a long-wearing, velvet matte finish. Two clinical levels of anti-aging ingredients deliver immediate, short and long term benefits. Lavandox, an ingredient extracted from Spanish lavender, reduces the appearance of wrinkles by 11% after 24 hours of application. Phytostem Edelweiss, an active derived from a rare alpine plant, slows collagen degradation and reduces wrinkle depth by 15% after 20 days of use."
